Chevrolet Silverado C-10 Modified
Hillbillied-to-the-Nines
I have a fascination with cartoon designs photorealistically rendered. For this project I started with a stock build of a Chevy Silverado. Just like it's real life counterpart, I chopped and stretched the model until it fit the proportions for which I was looking. That's harder than it sounds. With any vehicle, the panels are all made up of compound convex and concave surfaces, so stretching a part will often destroy the integrity of the arch. I spent a lot of time making sure the original body lines carried through, though highly caricatured. And no hot-rod is complete with out a blower intake jutting out of the hood.

Inspired by all the great cartoon designers of the last 100 years. Particularly, George Trosley and the gang from CartToons Magazine.
